Brand New Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport Is The Wet Dream of a Track-Day Enthusiast

Isn’t the road-ridden Porsche 911 GT2 RS good enough for you?

Oh, the German company has just the ride for you and it comes in the form of the GT2 RS Clubsport, introduced as a track-only edition limited to only 200 units at the 2018 LA Auto Show. RM Sotheby’s will auction one of those 200 cases at Amelia Island on March 6-7.

Like the streetcar, the Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport features a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter flat-six engine that produces 690 horsepower. The fact that this engine paired with a rigidly mounted seven-speed dual-clutch transmission is what makes the Clubsport unique. Porsche Stability Control, traction control, and ABS systems also include. So, all of these can change on the fly or completely switched off.

The car involved never used and will sell in factory-fresh condition. It bathed in white paint and fitted with an assortment of external carbon fiber components including the rear bumper and the large rear wing. Additionally, the roof and hood of the vehicle also fitted with a matte coating in transparent carbon fiber. So, it all looks pretty bad and is number 85 of the 200 created.

Porsche hasn’t held back on the interior of the GT2 RS Clubsport as it lacks nearly all of the road-going model’s creature comforts and sports a Recaro racing bench. A racing steering wheel, a display instrument cluster, and an open roll cage.

RM Sotheby’s wants the car to sell between $360,000 and $400,000.

The rear bumper included and the huge rear wing. Alternatively, the top and hood of the vehicle also fitted with a matte coating in transparent carbon fiber. So, it all looks pretty grim and listed as number 85 of the 200.
