While we await the launch of the new BS-VI Pulsar NS200 on the Indian market by Bajaj Auto, a video review of the same has surfaced online.
The new BS-VI Bajaj Pulsar NS200 expected to be very similar visually to its BS-IV equivalent. It will feature the same set of aesthetic features, such as a sculpted, muscular fuel tank with 3D’ Pulsar ‘ logo. With aggressive-looking headlights, a sharp tail section with LED taillights, body-colored engine cowl, etc. that we already know.
Key Features of BS-VI Bajaj Pulsar NS200:
The Pulsar NS200 has always a very capable motorcycle on the performance front. Things will get even better in its new BS-VI avatar.
Although the latest NS200 will have the same liquid-cooled 199.5 cc single-cylinder engine with Bajaj Auto’s proprietary triple-spark technology, incorporating fuel injection (finally!) would make a world of difference.
The new bike will deliver a crisper and more accurate throttle response. Improved fuel efficiency and increased performance. The engine is getting more refined. Bajaj Auto has also been focusing on the acoustics. So the current NS200 sounds a lot smoother than its predecessor.
The exhaust note has more rhythm and this should cater to a lot of customers.
As for the figures for power and torque.
Bajaj Auto has not given any official confirmation on the same, but the BS-VI NS200 is expected to produce about 24.5 PS of max power at 9,750 rpm and 18.6 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 rpm. It used to have 23.5 PS of max power, and 18.3 Nm of peak torque in its BS-IV variant with the carburetted engine.
The Bajaj Pulsar NS200 would most likely see a price hike of around INR 10,000. The BS-VI edition will be retailing at around INR 1.24 lakh (ex-showroom).
