Cable Girls speaks about one of the most sensitive topics a woman has to confront — Equality. Cable Girls is a Spanish period drama that is made by Netflix. This was the first Spanish-language show that Netflix spent. It is translated as’s chicas del cable’.
The show is set in Madrid, four girls become familiar and become friends as soon as they start working in a telecommunications firm recently begun operating in town in which in the year 1928.
The series finds the complications of being a true working-women where they live under the male-dominated society while trying to find a balance between friendship, family, and work.
At the beginning of the show, we watch Alba (now recognized as Lidia), trying to waver off allegations of murder by robbing a recently operating telecommunications company in exchange for her freedom for a police officer.
Helpless, she changes her identity and gets the job of a cable girl in precisely the business to perform her plan. Little did she know, she meets with stocks an instantaneous connection and three women. In the third and second seasons, they research their friendship while resolving the obstacles.
In the fourth year, Lidia finds it tough to choose a path to walk on and looks for some other method to pay off her debt to the police officer. While others try to save her, meanwhile, one of Lidia’s friend is accused of murder. The season ends with Angeles’ death and the girls going their separate paths.
In the final season (#5), the show’s timeline is between 1936 and 1939, during the Spanish war. The story introduces Sophia, Angeles’ daughter that leaves her house to be part of the war. This astounds the three girls and brings them together more for Sophia back home.

Well, Cable Girls is made up of five seasons in while fifth being the last installment. Season 5 is thought to possess ten episodes. The first batch of five chapters has been dropped on February 14, 2020, and the next shipment of five will arrive on July 3, 2020. These can be the last couple of episodes, which will show the end of all four protagonists.

Another cast includes Antonio Velazquez, Concha Velasco, Angela Cremonte, Ana Polvorosa, Yon Gonzalez, and Martino Rivas. Since Angeles has died, she’d no longer be seen but Sophia (played with Denisse Pena), Raúl Mérida, Alex Hafner, and Leticia Etala have been added into the listing.
