Chris Evans Almost Turned Down Captain America and Latest Movies Information Is Here

Chris Evans, who plays Captain America at Marvel superhero movies, stated that he did not need to choose the role because he was dealing with acute stress at the time and considered abandoning acting.

The actor was speaking on The Hollywood Reported podcast – Awards Chatter, in which he disclosed that panic attacks almost led him to repeatedly turn down Marvel. Speaking about his encounter with stress and the way he tackled it, Chris Evans explained, “All of a sudden your hobby becomes your job. .That was back when the superhero thing was just taking off. I had only been dumped and that I wanted it.”

The actor confirmed he started having anxiety attacks while filming Puncture in 2010. Evans thought of abandoning it as a profession and said he was not convinced about pursuing acting. He added, “It was the very first time that I started having mini panic attacks on set. I truly started to think,’I am not positive if that [acting] is the ideal thing for me I’m not sure if I’m feeling as healthy as I should be feeling.'”

At Captain America, Marvel offered Evans the lead character of Captain America aka Steve Rogers in 2010: The First Avenger, which he turned. However, Marvel came back and offered him the job. He explained that after consulting his family therapist and fellow superhero Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr, he explained to the function.

Calling it the best choice of his life, Evans explained, “I owe that to [Marvel main ] Kevin Feige for being persistent and allow me to avoid making a giant mistake. In all honesty, all of the things I was fearing never actually came into fruition.”
