With the season kicking in at Austria with the July beginning, many teams begin their preparation. Renault, too, wants to hit the ground. They announced their upcoming test. And they are going for the race’s venue- the Red Bull Ring, next week. And talking of the drivers, both are going for the same. Daniel Ricciardo and Esteban Ocon will be going behind wheels of 2018 spec car. June 16 will be for Ricciardo going for RS 18. While the following day, Ocon takes over. There are some specific regulations, and it prevents from running new machinery to be allowed.
The Mercedes already drove the 2018 car with Lewis Hamilton and Valterri Bottas this week. They too took off the rust before the beginning of the sessions. They went for the Silverstone this week. Another competitor, Charles Leclerc also was seen karting in Italy. He too is going for the preparations with similar private tests. And it will be him and the older spec Ferrari F1. The racing Point will be using its filming day allocated for the tests. And they will run the challenger 2020, the RP20 at Silverstone next week. Their teams are ramping up the preparation for the upcoming Prix and racing.
It is a big relief for all as the losses were going high. It is also a good sign of being normal.
