Dark is a German science fiction thriller web series co-created by Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese.
Dark is the first-ever German Language Netflix Original series. It debuted on Netflix’s streaming service on 3 December 2017. The first season was received with positive reviews from critics, who made initial comparisons to another Netflix series, Stranger things.
The first season was released on 1 December 2017, and the second season was released on 21 June 2019 with 10 and 8 episodes, respectively.
Its first season got an 89% rating, while the second season got a 100% rating from Rotten Tomatoes.
The makers have confirmed that the cast for season 3 will be the same as of season 2
we will get to see Louis Hofmann as teen Jonas, Jordis Triebel, as Katharina.
Lisa Vicari as Martha, Mark Waschke as Noah, Andreas Pietschmann as older Jonas, Lea van Acken.
Barbara Nuss, Hans Diehl, Jakob Diehl, Nina Kronjager.
Sammy Scheuritzel, Axel Werner, to make an appearance for the upcoming season.
Also, some new faces can be expected to be seen in Dark Season 3.
The first season begins with two children disappearing in a small German town. By the end of Dark season 2, we know that alternate realities exist. Season three will hopefully explore this strand of development and explain where the time-traveling characters have gone. We can only imagine how this will affect the plot, and just how many alternate realities there are.
There are a lot of questions that left fans with curiosity. Will Jonas be able to stop his older self? Can he do anything to disrupt the cycle? What chain of events will his actions now cause?
Fans and the audience has to wait until the season 3 releases.
The official date has not been announced, but all pre and post-production stages for Dark Season 3 were just completed in February. So it won’t be facing any delay due to the current pandemic.
We can expect the new season to drop-in on the summer times of 2020. And stay tuned for all the latest updates.
We will keep you posted with all the latest updates.
