India has not been left behind where there is another ultra premium superbike and Ducati released Panigale V4 R in the country. The motorcycle is priced at 84.99 lakh and introduces race oriented engineering in the Indian roads. Additionally, its exclusive production model arrived in Chennai on January 1, 2026, being the first delivery.

Ducati Panigale V4 R Launch and Market Positioning

Panigale V4 R has been introduced in India as the most track oriented production motorcycle by Ducati. The bike is positioned above the Panigale V4 and V4 S models. It focuses on collectors and riders that want race homologated machinery. Reservations are made in licensed dealerships of Ducati in the country.

Consequently, the Panigale V4 R is a continuation of the R line introduced in 2001 by Ducati with the 996R. Every motorbike is a part of a numbered production series. Steering plate and clip on area display the serial number. Ducati markets this model as a direct entry point into the World Superbike racing.

Engine Performance and Racing Derived Technology

Its motorcycle has a 998 cc Desmosedici Stradale R engine which is based on Ducati Corse programs. Under normal setting, it yields 218 hp at 15,500 rpm. In sixth gear the engine speeds to 16, 500 rpm. Essentially, Ducati made the unit to be used in the high speed tracks in the long-term.

With Ducati Corse Performance Oil, optional racing exhaust gives the output 235 hp and 239 hp accordingly. With full race conditioning, the maximum speed is over 330 kmph. Nonetheless, titanium rods, lightweight pistons and a modified crankshaft are elements that maintain the steady performance.

Oval throttle bodies and a new intake system result in airflow improvements. Furthermore, a reduced variable length intake trumpets are used to help in muscular mid-range delivery.

The changes serve to keep in check when riding aggressively. The installation is indicative of the attention given by Ducati to the lap times.

Aerodynamics, Chassis, And Rider Assistance Systems

Subsequently, the Panigale V4 R introduces Corner Sidepods on a road-legal motorcycle. This system creates aerodynamic load during high lean angles. It improves tyre grip during fast cornering. Ducati derived this solution directly from MotoGP development.

Larger biplane wings increase downforce by 25% at 270 kmph. Furthermore, improved stability supports harder braking and precise turn entry. The aluminium front frame works with a hollow symmetrical swingarm. This layout improves feedback with modern slick tyres.

Components used in the suspension are fully adjustable Ohlins units. The bike has an NPX 25-30 front and TTX36 rear shock. Brembo Hypure monobloc calipers are the source of braking. Also, aluminium wheels are forged and have tyres by Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa V4.

Electronics operate through a six-axis inertial measurement unit. Systems include traction control, slide control, wheelie control, and launch control. A racing gearbox places neutral below first gear. In addition to that, a 6.9-inch TFT screen displays all functions clearly.

The Panigale V4 R weighs 186.5 kilograms without fuel. It comes only in Ducati Red. Besides, the motorcycle reinforces Ducati’s presence in the Indian premium performance segment.
