The second half of Stress the Walking Dead season 6 is full of heartbreak and revelations, according to executive producer Scott M. Gimple. The first spin-off, or companion, series to spawn from AMC’s The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead, was created by Robert Kirkman and Dave Erickson and primarily focused around the Clark family when the series started in 2015. Family matriarch Madison (Kim Dickens) was immediately established as the show protagonist, fearlessly leading her loved ones along with other Los Angeles survivors throughout the zombie apocalypse. Fear the Walking Dead has concentrated more on the original show personality Morgan Jones (Lennie James) and his mission to locate new lands since his transition onto the series in season 4.
The show started filming for season 6 in November 2019, but production was stopped in March 2020 because of this coronavirus pandemic. Production resumed in the summertime, and the first episode of the season premiered on AMC in October, with seven episodes drifting before the mid-season finale in November. The show is presently in its mid-season break, while the show moved on to picture the second half of the year. The second half of season 6 kicks off with all the mid-season premiere”The Door,” directed by Ian Goldberg & Andrew Chambliss, accompanied by a brand new Talking Dead event. The remaining nine episodes will also introduce three new characters played by John Glover (The fantastic Wife), Nick Stahl (Carnivale), and Keith Carradine (Madam Secretary). They’ll see Morgan attempt to free the rest of the members of his team while handling the effect Virginia’s (Colby Minifie) control needed on every group member. The episodes will also concentrate on Virginia as she sets out to locate her sister and protect her Pioneers. Stakes are high in the remaining nine episodes, as alliances and loyalties will soon be changed forever.
Season 6 has already been noted for being different from previous seasons, with fans and critics praising its darker and mysterious plot. Its noticeable improvement in season 5 and Gimple’s guarantee of higher stakes to come probably makes fans much more excited to tune into the final nine episodes. While the stunt has complex Fear The Walking Dead’s launch program, its return this spring will be well worth the wait.
