Ford Raptor Ranger, the powerful elegant king of pick-up trucks. And what could you upgrade in a perfect beast, unless you add up an electric powertrain in it? Yes, you read that right. Raptor has been Ford’s global player, it’s sold all over the world. Rumors are that the pickup would get a brand new plug-in hybrid powertrain. This hasn’t been installed in any Ford product to date.
The Raptor will be going to have a 2.3-liter turbocharged engine paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Other than the electric motor, the raptor will be giving two more powertrains (diesel) options. A base 2.0-liter twin-turbo motor with 210 hp (157 kW). And a larger 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo diesel with 250 hp (186 kW) and 443 lb-ft (600 Nm) of torque. The Ford will discontinue the current 3.2-liter five-cylinder diesel.
