With the ratings that Good Girls is currently achieving, an extension was not necessarily guaranteed. The series with Christina Hendricks, Retta and Mae Whitman will still return for a fourth season.
Beth, Annie and Ruby can continue to print counterfeit money and hope to get away with it because NBC waved the fourth season of good girls, TVLine reports.
Girls is returning for more bad behaviour from fan favourite women Beth (Christina Hendricks), Ruby (Retta) and Annie (Mae Whitman) since the NBC comedy was renewed for Season 4.
The series wrapped early May 3 with the episode entitled”Synergy,” that was five installations short of the originally intended 16-episode third season. The cast and executive producers learned about the renewal through a Great Girls Happy Hour with NBC Co-Presidents for Scripted programming, Lisa Katz and Tracey Pakosta Together with Universal Television’s President, Pearlena Igbokwe.
Practising social distancing through chat, NBC provides a peek at the moment. One of the cast members included in the chat and series are Lidya Jewett, Manny Montana, Hendricks Whitman Wilson, Isaiah Stannard and Matthew Lillard.
As for what Season 4 has in store, not much was mentioned, but founder and executive producer Jenna Bans told us after the Season 3 finale that the women would”be in another position in Season 4 than they have ever been in.” The series follows.
Bans had teased in a potential Season 4, “there would be much to look forward to because it is completely unexpected, and, really satisfying, in relation to what the fans love about the series. There would still be a few things that the fans really want to see occur, which can be fun, but they would happen in a manner which will be surprising and kind of unpredictable.”
In accordance with Bans, Season 4 could use footage from Season 3’s missing episodes, “but there is always some creative tweaks to be made.” Only time will tell what those tweaks will be but fans can rest assured knowing that responses to the cliffhangers of Season 3 are probably on the way.
It is about three suburban mothers who launder money for a criminal boss. In season three, Beth ( Christina Hendricks ) had to deal with the aftermath of her attempted murder of Kingpin Rio (Manny Montana). The ladies started their own small side project to drive up profits. A new investigator ( Lauren Lapkus ) has taken over from Turner and is close on their heels.
On average, the third season reached 1.8 million viewers and a rating of 0.4. The preliminary season finale, which already took place after eleven episodes broadcast, ran on May 3. The series takes 12th out of 13 in the NBC drama series and is even ahead of The Blacklist.
The extension was celebrated with a small video.
