Your binge-watching is about to have a whole lot more exciting because Netflix announced Grace and Frankie’s season six premiere date. And in the words of Frankie herself candy, muscular Jesus! That date is. Grab Gucci loafers and your yam lube and let you fill in on most of the deets for the second-to-last season with everyone boozy duo.
It’s been almost a season since we last saw Grace and Frankie, but we knew that the women would be back. Before season five even dropped Netflix, the giant had renewed for the sixth season. And now we know that there’ll be the seventh season, although it will sadly be the final for our sex-toy-entrepreneurial seniors. But we can drown our sorrows in mimosas and whiskey sours (it’s what Grace and Frankie would need ) later. Now, we have a brand new season about the very near horizon to anticipate.
On Tuesday evening, Netflix revealed that the show would return on Jan. 15, 2020. New year, new Grace and Frankie? Well, that doesn’t sound very certain. And judging by the look pics, they appear to be up with their signature breed of hijinks.
We all know a few other facts for the new season. For starters, it will have 13 episodes. This makes it marginally shorter than the seventh year, which will reportedly have 16 events, but… 13 episodes make for a good season. Additionally exciting? The whole lovable gang looks to be arriving.
In addition to Grace (Jane Fonda) and Frankie (Lily Tomlin), year six will follow Sol (Sam Waterson), Robert (Martin Sheen), Mallory (Brooklyn Decker), Brianna (June Diane Raphael), Bud (Baron Vaughn) and Coyote (Ethan Embry). Recurring stars Peter Gallagher and Peter Cambor will also be back as Barry and Nick, respectively. Cameos include Mary Steenburgen and Michael McKean.
If all of this wasn’t enough, there are rumors that Dolly Parton could make a brief look, rejoining her former 9-to-5 co-stars. And reveal co-creator Marta Kauffman alluded in March into a rekindling of the flame between Frankie and Jacob (Ernie Hudson).
Yeah, is it January 15 yet?
