6 featuring a massive change for both Grace (played by Jane Fonda) and Frankie (Lily Tomlin) following the former got married in the last season finale to boyfriend Nick (Peter Gallagher). The Season 6 trailer promises a few big-name celebrity cameos in the cast and a plot that sees Frankie moving back with Sol (Sam Waterston) after he receives a bad identification.
All 13 episodes of Grace and Frankie Season 6 will be streaming out of Wednesday, January 15, on Netflix. The streaming agency will launch the episodes at one minute past midnight PT (3:01 a.m. ET / 2:01 a.m. CT). All five previous seasons are flowing for people who want to catch up before the latest batch of episodes today on Netflix.
Netflix has already announced that Season 6 will be this show’s season. The show will end after Season 7, set to be released in January 2021.
Each of the primary cast will back for one more period of the Netflix series, with a couple of guest stars join big names in the series like Lisa Kudrow RuPaul and Nicole Richie. Among the cast members returning are two brothers, Tomlin, Gallagher, and Waterstone, as well as Martin Sheen, Brooklyn Decker, and June Diane Raphael as Grace’s ex-husband along with Fonda. Baron Vaughn and Ethan Embry are back as Frankie’s children Coyote and Bud.
Grace and Frankie Season 6 will even find a familiar face from the past of the Netflix display yield. Ghostbusters’ Ernie Hudson is going to be back as Jacob, Frankie’s love interest last seen in Season 4. Series creator Marta Kauffman informed PaleyFest viewers in March 2019: “The power between them was so lively. We’ll be seeing him in season 6.”
Another brand new cast member will be Mary Steenburgen, who recently starred alongside Fonda in the movie Book Club, in an unspecified function. The Season 6 trailer also disclosed that veteran actor Elliott Gould would be appearing as a physician, which the Shark Tank judges would be cameoing as themselves as Grace and Frankie take among their products on the company show.
Jane Fonda told Who Wear about the upcoming episodes: “I’m not supposed to discuss it. Nonetheless, it’s funny. I’ll tell you. It involves another facet of women’s aging and bodies. That is all I will say.” In the promo, there appears to be Grace’s difficulty with standing up after sitting, something Frankie attempts to solve with”The Rise Up,” a toilet with a seat that could lift somebody into a standing position.
The trailer has hinted about what occurs in the season. It indicates some conflict between Grace and Frankie after Grace’s marriage, with Frankie saying: “I am terrified that my best friend has made a huge mistake.” Elsewhere, the preview appears to suggest that Sol will receive a terrible diagnosis, which places Robert (Sheen) and Frankie into battle as she tries to care for her former husband.
Grace and Frankie Season 6 is published on Wednesday, January 15, on Netflix.
