Haikyuu first released in 2014 with a total of 25 episodes and gained popular acclaim owing to which the team decided to follow up the show with three more seasons. The previous season, i.e., season 4, released in January this season.
Haikyuu follows the story of a middle school kid Hinata Shouyou who becomes a passionate volleyball player after watching a national volleyball championship on the telly. He joins the sports club in the school and gets five more players in his team. His newly created team does participate in the competition but loses it. However, he is undeterred and takes a vow to become the greatest player.
And thus, after he is in high school, he joins the most exceptional team, which has the most significant player known as the ‘king of the court’ who was initially not expected to become teammates but later formed an alliance and began their journey to the nationals.
The team has announced that the next season will be named “Haikyuu To The Top Season 2″. After this, it will be ready to become a part of the Netflix TV programs and be called Haikyuu Season 5.
The next season will release in July though the exact date hasn’t been confirmed. Not very drastic changes are expected until the pandemic affects some more.
The next season is expected to take off from where the previous season ended. Karasuno has entered the nationals and thus will be seen competing against teams from across the globe. We also see Hinata and Kageyama’s friendship turn stronger as they battle against all the odds together.
The subbed version of Haikyuu is available on Crunchyroll, and if you have enough patience, you can wait for it to release on Netflix as a dubbed version.
