Honda E: The New Urban EV concept

Honda’s most awaited and anticipated “HONDA E” has revealed the model’s technical detail at it’s official release. Honda E has confirmed and debut at this year’s Frankfurt motor show which was held on 14th to 24th September 2019. The purely electric Honda-e will be manufactured in different 2 models which will offer two power outputs, 136 HP and 154 HP, in which a maximum of 315 Nm of torque is provided by both the configuration motors. The new model can accelerate from 0-100 in a recorded time of 8 seconds. The tests are performed under track conditions including a highly calibrated fuel and other high end configuration in the vehicle, due to which the vehicle is able to give a very high end performance. The above results are likely to vary.

The company has confirmed to production process soon this year. This highly anticipated electric car was first unrevealed as an urban concept two years ago.The concept which debuted at Geneva motor show earlier has gone a mere change in it’s official production model which include non illumination of the grille batch, because this feature is illegal in Europe.

Both the Honda E variants are power-packed by a liquid cooled 35.5 kWh battery pack supporting a total mileage of 220km in a single charge, which is sufficient enough for a car segment featuring urban riders and common people. The company has already provided a fast charging facility at 100kWh which is capable of charging the model with to 80 percent while taking a mere time of 30 minutes. The company will be also providing a conventional charger with 50kWh which will give same output as above in 36-40 minutes. This car is primarily designed as 4 seater car with design somewhat similar to Honda Jazz. The model houses a rear wheel mounted electric motor, with an accurate torque vectoring feature. This features allows the vehicle to take smooth turns and glide through tough corners even at high speeds. 4 independent suspensions bears the load of the car perfectly and both the rear and front axles sharing equal half load. The placement of battery are also designed in such a manner to keep the centre of gravity lower giving the vehicle an over edge on agility as well.
