Honda two-wheelers India has successfully delivered the first lot of the Forza 300 at an undisclosed price. The lot included 4 units which were pre-booked by customers through the company’s Big Wing dealership in Gurugram.
The company had earlier displayed the Forza 300 at the Gurugram dealership. But there is a twist, the scooters which have been delivered now are BS4 compliant and we expect the official launch in 2021 in the BS6 form, as soon as the Euro 5 version will be launched.
The Honda Forza 300 is a tourer-centric automatic scooter, considering the South-East Asian and European customers in mind. It is powered by a 279 cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, SOHC 4 valve engine, which delivers 24.8 bhp and 27.2 Nm of peak torque.
The engine is mated to a V-Matic Transmission, with ratios set for fast low-speed reaction and smart acceleration. The Forza 300 is the company’s first scooter to be equipped with Honda’s Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) system, which helps in regaining rear-wheel traction by detecting the difference between the front and rear wheel speeds, calculating the slip ratio and further controlling the torque via fuel injection.
On the feature front, the Forza 300 has twin-pod instrumentation with analog speedometer and tachometer. A digital LCD display with information like odometer, range, current mileage, clock, ambient temperature thermometer, and a battery sensor is also present. It also features an electronically adjustable windscreen which has a range of 140 mm. It also has a smart key fob and a 15-inch aluminum-alloy wheel in front.
However, it is not clear whether it will be brought as a CBU (completely built unit) or CKD (completely knocked down). The Euro-V compliant version will be launched next year in India with an expected price of around 7-8 lakhs.
