Designed by an Indian startup, the Ultraviolette F77 is India’s first performance-oriented electric motorcycle, with a claimed top speed of 147 km/h, and 0 to 100 km/h claimed acceleration in 7.5 seconds. The electric bike is available in three different trims, Lightning, Shadow, and Laser. Thie F77 gets its high-performance specs from an air-cooled, brushless DC (BLDC) motor with 25 kW (33.5 bhp) with a massive 450 Nm of torque on the rear wheel.
The F77 avails three different ride modes, namely, Eco, Sport, and Insane. The electric power comes from three slim and modular lithium-ion battery packs, which offer a claimed range of 130-140 km on a full charge. The Ultraviolet fits a full-color TFT screen to replace the old analog taco. It also features Bluetooth connectivity and a dedicated mobile app with over-the-air updates, remote diagnostics, bike locator, and ride analysis features.
Braking duties are handled by a 320 mm front disc, gripped by a four-piston caliper, and a 230 mm rear disc gripped by a single-piston caliper. Dual-channel ABS is standard on the Ultraviolette F77.

Orxa Energies, a Bengaluru based performance electric vehicle and energy systems startup, unveiled its first model, which is the Mantis electric motorcycle. The Mantis is a naked electric sport motorcycle that tops over 140 km/h and delivers an impressive 200 km range on a single charge. The performance electric motorcycle is equipped with a 9 kWh battery pack comprising six 1.5 kWh smaller modules. The battery modules are swappable and use a proprietary battery management system (BMS), which helps to fully charge the pack in 3.5 hrs using a regular portable charger.
Like Ultraviolet, the Mantis features a sophisticated, fully digital dashboard and a dedicated mobile app to monitor ride analytics, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance. The electric motorcycle will give you all the necessary information like speed, range, battery charge, and other telematics related readouts.

Hero Electric, India’s largest electric two-wheeler brand by volume, showcased its new range of products at the Auto Expo 2020, including a new electric motorcycle, the first for Hero Electric. The homegrown electronic bike manufacturer claims a top speed of 85 kmph, with over 160 km on a single charge in Eco mode through the AE-47.
A 4,000 W electric motor powers the Hero Electric AE-47, gets its power from a lightweight, portable lithium-ion 48V/3.5 kWh battery, and can be charged fully in four hours. It gets two modes; in Power mode, the range is 85 km on a single charge, while in Eco mode, the estimated range is 160 km on a single charge.
Along with a top range of 85 km/h, the Hero Electric AE-47 has claimed acceleration figures of 0-60 kmph in 9 seconds. It features a digital instrument console, keyless access, mobile charger, walks assist, and reverse feature. The electric motorcycle is supported by a mobile app featuring GPS, GPRS, real-time tracking, and geofencing.
