There have been plans for a fifth Indiana Jones film for many years, but these plans have been delayed time and time again. It feels like we have been two years away from a new Indiana Jones film for the last ten years. The difficulty has been on the screenplay side, as locating the proper experience for the Indy has been difficult, resulting in the script passing through distinct hands over recent years. David Koepp was both the first, and also the individual scriptwriting responsibilities, but now Koepp is off the job for the second time.

As the content of this story, according to the franchise producer, Frank Marshall claims that the fifth movie will be a continuation of the events following the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, instead of it being any reboot or prequel for. Another official truth is that Ford’s iconic character won’t be killed.
