    The Indiana Jones films belong to the action-adventure genre. There are four films in the Indian Jones franchise. Harrison Ford plays the titular role in all the four films.

    The first Indian Jones film: Raiders of the Lost Ark released in 1981 and is still considered as a cult classic. It was highly successful at the box-office too. The second film in the franchise, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom released in 1984, and it was a prequel to the first film. The third Indian Jones film titled Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade released in 1989. It was the sequel to the first film showcasing further adventures of Indiana Jones. The latest in the Indiana Jones film series is Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull that released in 2008. The plot of the fourth film takes place 19 years after the events of the third film.

    Raiders of the Lost Ark has a rating of 95% on rotten tomatoes, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom has a rating of 85%, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade has a rating of 88% and Indiana Jones, and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull has a rating of 78%. 

    Indiana Jones 5 Plot:

    Every film of Indiana Jones has seen him taking new adventures in his life. With Indiana Jones getting his very own family at the end of the fourth family, it would be interesting to see how the makers will take the story forward.

    Indiana Jones 5 Cast:

    As of now, only Harrison Ford is confirmed to return as Indiana Jones. Indiana Jones 5 will be the first film in the franchise that will not be directed by Steven Spielberg. James Mongold is the director of Indiana Jones 5. Apart from this, none of the cast of Indiana Jones 5 has been confirmed officially. 

    Indiana Jones 5 Release Date:

    The release date of Indiana Jones 5 has been postponed many times. Indiana Jones 5 was scheduled to release on 9th July 2021. Now, the film has officially been postponed to 29th July 2022 because of the coronavirus pandemic.
