Diesel Elantra powered by a 1.5-liter Creta 115hp engine; to offered in two versions. Entry standard S trim is dropped.
Hyundai officially listed the Elantra BS6 diesel on its website ahead of the launch of the car later this year. As previously mentioned, in its 115hp/250Nm state of tune. The launch of an Elantra diesel could prove vital for the Elantra. With the majority of the market now hosting only petrol versions. With the Skoda Octavia and Toyota Corolla no longer on sale, the Main Competitor of the Elantra. For now, it is the Honda Civic, a petrol-only model. Next year an all-new Octavia is scheduled to be launched. While so Toyota has pulled the plug on the Corolla without any anticipated replacement.
