The theme of adventure bikes is at its height not only globally. But on the Indian market as well. The adventure bike category is attracting more and more customers in India. And so more cheap ADVs are coming from bike manufacturers.
One of the adventure bikes to come. The Aprilia Terra 250, has been spotted. It was originally spied inside the warehouse in its production guise.
The Chinese company got the Aprilia Terra 125 and 150. But they are now planning for their demand with a quarter-liter. India’s launch is not yet verified but if Aprilia is preparing to release it with an ambitious price tag in our region. It will find a lot of takers.
The Aprilia Terra 250 powered by the same engine in the Aprilia GPR250, which does service. This a liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine generating 26.5 PS at 9000 RPM and 22 Nm torque at 7500 RPM, coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The ADV may be having a different tuning though.
The spy pics show that the Terra 250 gets dual- tires, high ground clearance, long- suspension, spoked wheels, single- handlebar, side- intake, disk brake on both ends, etc. The riding posture is clearly upright and comfortable.
If you look closely, you will see a red-colored Aprilia Terra 250 in the background too. So, the bike will compete against the KTM 250 Adventure straight away.
In China, the Aprilia Terra 250 was found. The bike claimed to powered by the same single-cylinder engine. So, as the Aprilia GPR250 and the CFMoto 250NK allegedly spied at a factory. Oddly, Aprilia already sells the Terra 150 in China, fitted with a liquid-cooled 150cc single-cylinder motor. Nonetheless, it is not very common because of its high selling price. Now with the new Terra 250, Aprilia and Zongshen, her Chinese husband, plan to turn their fortunes around.
The engine churns out 26.5 hp and 22Nm in the CFMoto 250 NK. Yet Aprilia, as a luxury brand synonymous so with performance-oriented all things, foresee the Terra 250 to have a more sporty state of tune.
