Jeep Compass 2020 announced overseas.

Jeep has announced the 2020 Compass variant overseas. The fancy sporty compact crossover SUV had a great response in India after launch.

What’s new for 2020?

2020 Jeep Compas has refresh alloy wheels and many new paint options that include White, Billet Silver, Granite Crystal, Spitfire Orange, Jazz Blue, Laser Blue, Diamond Black, Olive Green, Redline Red, Pearl White, Sting-Gray and Velvet Red (late availability).

The new Compass will be fitted with a new 1.3-liter engine which will be 30 percent more fuel-efficient. The engine could deliver 130hp to the front or all wheels. Five Compass models will be offered – Sport, Longitude, Mighty Eagle, Limited, and S – but the S model gets a retuned version of the tiny mill that makes 150 hp (112 kW).

Jeep could offer its buyers to choose from the 6-speed manual transmission or a new dry clutch transmission for either front or all-wheel-drive models.

A 1.6-liter diesel is also offered, making 120 hp (85 kW) and 236 pound-feet (320 Newton-meters) of torque. This model is paired with a single option of 6-speed manual transmission powering the front wheels only.

We could see plug-in hybrid 4xe in the second half of the year. It could feature a 1.3-liter gas engine paired up with an electric motor to generate either 190 or 240 hp (142 or 179 kW), and it will only be offered in four-wheel-drive trim.

The inside get new updates too. The 2020 Jeep Compass gets automaker’s Uconnect system. The new updates pack driver assistance systems that include forward collision and lane departure warning systems as standard features. Blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, parking assist, and cross-traffic alert are optional.
