An official title for Jurassic World 3 hasn’t been declared yet and the storyline has been kept under wraps, but judging by the events of Jurassic World: the Fallen Kingdom, it’s certain to be a crazy ride. The fences are the dinosaurs have been released into our world. The famous Tyrannosaurus rex is staring down a lion at a zoo. Ptyerodactals swoop around landmarks. The world as we know it will not ever be the same and it feels like it’s up to the key characters of the Jurassic World franchise to make things right.
Here is what we know about the upcoming Jurassic World 3 so far.
Colin Trevorrow verified that Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will return to reprise their roles as Owen Grady and Claire Dearing, respectively. Trevorrow has also hinted that additional characters from Jurassic World: the Fallen Kingdom will return to become”major characters.”
It is very likely that Jurassic newbie Isabella Sermon will return to perform Maisie Lockwood, the genetically-created clone of John Hammond’s estranged friend and partner, Sir Benjamin Lockwood.
BD Wong may additionally come back to reprise his role as Dr. Henry Wu, the corrupt scientist who’s long overdue for some karma.
Each Jurassic Park enthusiast is undoubtedly asking the same question: What about Jeff Goldblum? In the end, Goldblum, who performs fan-favorite Dr. Ian Malcolm, has starred in a couple of the original Jurassic Park movie and made a brief, but memorable, look in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. So, surely he will make a cameo, correct? Goldblum hinted at his return in a post by Digital Spy, where he explained,”… There’s going to be a different one, which some individuals may or may not be in it. That is all I can say.”
Rumors have also begun to surface that members of this first cast, like Laura Dern, could return for Jurassic World 3.
The cast and crew of Jurassic World 3 have been secretive about the plot particulars of the movie. Even IMDb does not have a logline. Chris Pratt essentially confirmed that there will be a time jump in the third film of this new franchise during a meeting with MTV. Super World: the Fallen Kingdom takes place three years after the events of Jurassic World, so a time jump would make sense.
“I can not express anything, however, I could tell you when I heard the pitch, so I was blown away,” Pratt said in the interview, “I can not feel that we’re going to make that movie, and I can not believe they found a way to deliver on the promise of this conclusion of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Just like,’ Wait, what? The island has discounted. The animals are outside, we can not place them back. What exactly are we going to do? How aren’t only these dinosaurs but this technology moving ahead going to affect the planet?”
Regardless of where the show goes from here, Pratt affirms that Jurassic World 3 is going to be”pretty epic.”
Director Colin Trevorrow has clarified Jurassic World 3 as”a celebration of what that’s existed in the franchise up until today.” Bryce Dallas Howard has said that the third installment of the Jurassic World franchise will”bring the whole saga together.” At the moment, these statements served before the completion of the franchise as mere hints. Subsequently, in February 2018, Trevorrow confirmed that Jurassic World 3 will be the final movie in the set.
The park will close once (and perhaps for all) in 2021 with an epic conclusion.
Jurassic World 3 will hit theaters on June 11, 2021.
