With Kissing Booth creating a return this summer, fans appear to get what they want. The romantic comedy proved to be the unlikely hit of 2018. Upon its launch, the movie was bashed heavily by critics because of its sexist topics. But for the fans that didn’t appear to hold a flashlight.
It was shown to be a hit for Netflix. And they return with a sequel in 2020. Going by the response of the first film, it seems that nothing could hold back its success.
This is known news. Given the after the film has shrunk, its launch is an occasion. Director Vince Marcello’s latest film will release on July 24, 2020, on Netflix.
The news about the release was declared over a year ago in February 2019. Filming began last summer and has been finished before Halloween. The movie will be able to stick with its original release date.
The film will be coming with a few of the cast. Joey King will probably be returning as Shelly Evans again to the sequel. Joining her is Jacob Elordi as Noah Flynn. Before filming, the latter’s inclusion in the sequel looked doubtful until a couple of months. But he is on the team.
Members of the cast include Joel Courtney, who will return as Lee Flynn and Taylor Perez. Molly Ringwald and Meganne Young will join them.
Thanks to Joey King, we know a little bit about the movie. After the last film, Noah led speculating he won’t be part of the sequel. But as King clarifies, Elle will probably be heading into Noah’s faculty. With things getting out of hand.
Elle will have a whole lot on her plate. Will she have the ability to juggle her dream, her relationship, and her friendship? That’s what we shall see.
