Know Latest Update Will the Chevrolet SS hold its value?

SS or Super Sport is the signature performance package offered by Chevrolet on its limited number of vehicles. All these SS models come with distinctive ‘SS’ markings on their exterior. Chevrolet built the 2017 SS in Australia.

The SS is equipped like a luxury car, with leather seats, a full suite of advanced safety systems, and a robust amount of tech features included in every model.

    SS Performance:

The rear-wheel-drive SS is a genuine sports sedan. Its 415-horsepower V8 engine delivers forceful acceleration, reaching 60 mph in less than five seconds. You can pick from a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. The standard Magnetic Ride Control is a fast-adjusting suspension system. It lets you select between Tour, Sport, and Performance driving modes.

Chevy SS gets poor gas mileage, given the potency of its engine. Its fuel economy rating is 14 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway.

    SS Features:

The SS is loaded with tech features. Although Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are absent, every model comes with an 8-inch touch screen, navigation, a nine-speaker Bose audio system, hands-free smartphone integration, and a Wi-Fi hot spot. One can change settings using either the convenient knobs or the voice recognition system.

    SS Dimensions:

The SS has 16.4 cubic feet of trunk space, and a rear-seat pass-through accommodates large items like skis, but the seats don’t fold down to give you extra cargo space.

The SS measures 16.3 feet. Its curb weight is between 3,960 and 3,975 pounds.

    Cost of 2017 Chevrolet SS:

The Chevy SS is one of the most expensive large cars. On average it costs $43,000 for a 2017 SS. You may also see prices of 2017 SS as low as $40,000 or as high as $47,000.

Is it better to buy a used or new SS?

Chevrolet discontinued the SS at the end of the 2017 model year. That means your only option is to buy the used one.

Chevrolet produced SS from 2014 through 2017 model years. During its brief run, Chevy made no significant changes to SS, and they are virtually identical year to year. It’s your choice to shop for the model you want at the best price.
