When Bugatti owned the crown of fastest car on the Earth, the only one company to accept the challenge was Koenigsegg Automobile.
It was the first one to break to record of Bugatti Veyron, but still with launch of Bugatti Chiron the company again claimed it’s crown, as master of speed. Now for this Koenigsegg is planning to break even this record .
Now having a look at it’s legendary history, Koenigsegg Automotive is a Swedish manufacturer of high-performance sports cars, based in Ängelholm, Skåne County, Sweden.
The company was founded in by Christian von Koenigsegg 1994, with an intention of producing “world-class” super sports car. With years of development, testing and prototyping, led the company’s to start legal production of car which was introduced in 2002.
It was in the year 2006, the company targeted a goal to develop a car homologated for worldwide use, particularly the United States.
It was in March 2009, the Koenigsegg’s CCXR was listed in the Forbes as one of the world’s most beautiful cars around the globe. In December 2010, the Agera model also won the BBC Top Gear Hypercar of the Year Award.
Coming to the main point, it’s been a long time we talked about the Koenigsegg’s Jesko, which is said to be a predecessor of Agera model with further upgradation and improvements.
Recently the company posted a short clip on Instagram, which showing a complete strip-down of Jesko prototype inside the company’s facility while the engineers were taking a glance through the naked hypercar.
This video was linked to the audio of the sound generated by a newly developed twin-turbo 5.0-litre V8 engine, which was manufactured by the company itself. According to company officials, production model will produce 1,280 bhp on regular petrol and as much as 1,600 bhp on E85 biofuel Variant.
According to the chief engineers of the drivetrain department, the engine has the lightest crankshaft ever fitted to a V8, weighing in at just 12.5 kilograms, which is still a remarkable task by the engineers.
However Koenigsegg is confident that Jesko will go over 300 mph and potentially beat the 304.7 mph achieved by the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ to become the new speed master and regain the crown again.
