So the much-awaited KTM 390 Adventure was first showcased at the 2019 EICMA show and finally made its India debut last year in December at India Bike Week. We believe it has been the most awaited bike for a few years.
India became the first country to receive the 390 Adventure. And so it released on January 20 with an Rs. 2.99 lakhs (ex-showroom) price tag.
The dual-purpose KTM 390 Adventure geared to performing both on-road and off-road. The Austrian bike maker’s latest TVC is showcasing its versatile character.
We show in the video their tough and sporty character navigating the twisties while also overcoming off-road obstacles. The TVC says that this is an “ultra-powerful and open KTM”.
The bike is powered by a Duke 390 shared 373.2cc, single-cylinder engine. It produces 44 PS at 9000 RPM, and a torque of 37 Nm at 7000 RPM. The KTM 390 Adventure competes in the Indian market with BMW G 310 GS and Royal Enfield Himalayan.
For the 390 Adventure KTM will be selling locally made luggage accessories.
After much excitement among bikers, KTM released the 390 Adventure in India. A lot of consumers are seeking adventure motorcycles. So, now, it has learned that with the 390 Adventure, KTM will be offering Made in India luggage.
In the next 3-4 months, KTM’s luggage system will introduce and the company has joined up with manufacturers of accessories such as ViaTerra, Rynox, Autologue Designs, etc. In the past, these companies have also produced some parts for the Duke and RC motorcycles.
KTM sells its official PowerParts parts globally but these can not produce in India and the cost of sourcing will be high. KTM is expected to attractively price the accessories and they will be available at all of their approved dealerships. The firm will likely sell a variety of panniers, tail rack and saddle-stays.
