KTM could introduce a new 490cc 2 cylinder, for Indian fans.
The same will be manufactured, with the help of Bajaj Auto. The KTM Duke is one of the best selling, lightweight bike. While KTM RC offers full-faired, track-specific performance while the Adventure series comes with a dual-purpose design and all-terrain usability. The new 490cc motorcycle will bring a completely new segment into India.
Recently, Benelli, also launched a few new motorcycles in the 499 cc segment. And probably, KTM is a little worried about its product lineup for India. The 490cc bikes will be the middleweight segment competition.
KTM is best known for the first three types and the 490cc bike platform will definitely spawn three motorcycles like the 390 series. The bike manufactures are keen to produce single and twin cylinder products for some time. They wish to stay in the 500-800cc segment for India, as the market has been seen to rise at a great pace.
The current KTM range of bikes includes Duke 125, Duke 200, Duke 250, Duke 390, Duke 790, RC 125, RC 200, RC 390, and 390 Adventure in India.
