Rumors about a third installment to the Elle Woods universe began concealed in 2018. Nonetheless, it seems like Legally Blonde 3 is now becoming all its own botanical, pink maribou details based on Deadline first reported news of the sequel to a sequel and verified the film could deliver Reese Witherspoon back for a different go-round as Woods and recruit rom-com savant Mindy Kaling and comic genius Dan Goor (the founder of Brooklyn Nine-Nine)to write the script.
While first authors Kirsten”Kiwi” Smith and Karen McCullah was slated to write the script, Deadline notes Kaling and Goor are beginning around, providing a”new fresh spin” instead of shining anything which Smith and McCullah had started.
“[We have] a script, but we haven’t taken anything,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “[Elle’s] a really precious personality. You merely want her to pick a hero’s excursion as she does from the first movie, and I am having a great time working on it.”
