After months of rumors about Lucifer’s sixth season, a sixth closing show was confirmed today (Tuesday, June 23).
An official release date has not been verified, but judging by the release pattern of the before two seasons, Lucifer season six could arrive in Summer or Spring next season.
However, as a result of present coronavirus outbreak, filming for season six may face flaws, so fans should prepare themselves for a 2022 release date at the latest.
The information was verified on the official Lucifer Twitter accounts in a tweet that read: “The devil made us do it. Lucifer will go back for a sixth and final season. Like, FINAL.”
Lucifer has already been canceled twice, together with Fox dropping the series in 2018.
Happily, Netflix stepped in to save the supernatural comedy, hammering the show for two more outings.
Technically this supposed the upcoming fifth season was that the show’s last series, Netflix, even awakened the final season to 16 episodes, which would air in 2 parts.
However, since January, there had been talking of Lucifer not being canceled Afterall.
Talks with series producer Warner Bros. TV about another installment of this book drama happened ahead of the season premiere.
Deadline then reported executive producers Idly Modrovich and Joe Henderson alongside the primary cast, without direct actor Tom Ellis, had closed prices to get the sixth show.
Last month, it had been reported that Ellis had reached an arrangement with Warner Bro’s, but there had been no official announcement about season six.
The entire main cast is expected to return for the last series of Lucifer.
This means Tom Ellis will be back as Lucifer Morningstar and Lauren German as LAPD and enjoy Lucifer’s life, Chloe Decker.
DB Woodside is going to probably be back as Amenadiel and Aimee Garcia as Ella Lopez.
Joining them is Rachael Harris as Dr. Linda and Kevin Alejandro as Detective Dan Espinoza.
Depending on how the episode in season five of Lucifer play out, Inbar Lavi will reunite as Eve.
There are also plenty of new faces joining the cast of Lucifer season five, such as 24’s Dennis Haysbert, who will play Lucifer’s dad, God.
Whether he’ll return for the final series stays unknown.
Unfortunately, it’s tough to predict what is going to happen in Lucifer season six.
That is since the fifth series hasn’t yet aired.
The fifth show was originally planned to be the show’s final excursion, therefore that which will be dependent on how everything wraps up at the end of the show’s forthcoming 16 incident run.
The synopsis for its fifth show reads: “The series follows Ellis’ Lucifer, who’s bored and miserable as the Lord of Hell. He resigns his throne and abandons his kingdom for Los Angeles, where he gets his kicks helping LAPD detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German).
“In the fifth season, the stakes are higher than ever. Secrets will be revealed, beloved characters will die, and we’ll finally get a reply to the question, “will they, or won’t they?”
No, there is no trailer yet for Lucifer season.
A trailer for the fifth series has not yet been released, so fans will be waiting some time for its season six trailer to drop.
Ahead of seasons five and six, fans can watch Lucifer season four to Netflix now.
The first three seasons are available to flow on Amazon Prime Video, from #7.99 a month.
