Morris Garages or MG will be launching its Hector Plus in the Indian market in a few days. This 6-seater SUV will be launched on July 13 and can be booked online with a draft of Rs 50,000. So let’s find out its features and powertrain options.
The British brand hasn’t played much with the clean sheet design that will resemble the standard model. However, the removal of plastic from the front bumper and rear tailgate gives it a more legit look. The MG Hector Plus will feature a third row that increases its capacity to 6-passengers.
The new MG Hector Plus will have features like connected car technology, a 10.4-inch infotainment system, an Infinity sound system, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, and power front seats have been carried over from the standard model. Safety features include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, and electronic stability control. In addition to this, a hands-free tailgate gesture has been added to the list, where a person can swing their leg under the boot to open it automatically.
The Hector Plus SUV will have three engine options for the buyers.
The hybrid and diesel powertrains will be paired up with 6-speed manual transmission while the petrol-only engine is offered with a DCT only. The hybrid variant will feature an electric motor that will boost the search for sudden power for the SUV.
The upcoming MG Hector Plus is expected to price somewhere near 16 lakhs and compete with Mahindra XUV500, Tata Gravitas, Toyota Innova Crysta, Maruti Suzuki XL6 and Mahindra Marazzo.
