Mindhunter is an American crime thriller web series created by Joe Penhall based on the true-crime book Mindhunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit written by John E. Douglas and Mark Olshaker The series is executive produced by Penhall, David Fincher, and Charlize Theron.

Its first season was released on 13 October 2017 with 10 episodes. The second season was aired on 16 August 2019 with 9 episodes.
The first season got 97% rating and the second season got a 98% rating from Rotten Tomatoes.
Season 3 will pick from where it left in the previous season ended. At the end of Season 2, we saw Bill returning home to find that his wife and son have left him.
So in Season 3, we’ll hopefully get to see whether Bill will be taking a step back from his work at BSU or getting even more lost in it.
Also, we’ll be seeing Holden either continuing battling with is Panic attacks or will finally overcome it. We might see Carr finally revealing her Homosexuality, which may have a greater impact on her career.
Season 3 is likely to continue through the 1980s and would focus on high profile killers like Ted Bundy and Joseph Paul Fraklin.
Also, Brian would be seen playing a major role in Season 3 since we saw him witnessing a murder in season 2.
Also, there is a possibility to see Ed Kemper and Jim Barney returning to the show.
There is no official announcement for the launch of its trailer but we will keep you posted once the makers confirm the date.
As the production has been halted due to COVID-19, there is no official date of the premiere of its season 3.
