New Nissan Kicks e-Power SUV launched, see complete details

Nissan launched the new Kicks SUV. The Nissan Kicks e-Power has been launched in four variants – S, E, V, and VL. The new SUV has been launched in Thailand. Its price is 8,89,000 Thai baht (Thailand’s currency) i.e. around 21 lakh rupees. Let us know that the kicks sold in the Indian market are different from the kicks available in the SUV international market. Let us tell you in detail about this luxurious SUV.

    New look

The Nissan Kicks facelift launched in Thailand has changed according to the brand’s latest design language, which has been seen previously in Nissan’s new global cars. Talking about style, the updated SUV gets a larger V-motion grille with piano black surround, sharp LED headlamps, new fog lamp housing, and new dual-tone front bumpers. At the rear are new LED taillamps, new rear bumpers, and rear spoiler. The SUV comes with the newly designed 5-spoke alloy wheels.

    The interior

Talking about the cabin, the interior of the new Kicks E-Power is largely like the old model. However, some changes have been made to give it a fresh feel, including an updated gear-lever area, updated start/stop button, an updated infotainment system. The SUV gets new color-coded leather upholstery for the dashboard, door pads and seats. There has been no change in the instrument console, steering wheel, and dashboard layout.

    Safety

Talking about safety, the new SUV is equipped with features such as front airbags, side airbags, ABS, EBD, brake assist, and electric parking brake.

    Power and mileage

The biggest upgrade to the Thailand model of the Kicks facelift has been in its engine. The company’s popular E-Power series hybrid powertrain has been given in the SUV. It has an electric motor, which transfers power to the wheels. Power comes from a 1.57 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The battery pack is charged with a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder petrol engine continuously. The combined power and torque output of this hybrid engine is 127bhp and 260Nm respectively. The company claims that its mileage in Thailand is 23.4 kilometers per liter.

Kicks facelift coming in India too

Talking about the Indian market, here too Nissan is going to launch the facelift model of Kicks SUV soon. In addition to the cosmetic upgrade, the Kicks facelift will get new features and upgraded interiors. The biggest change will be seen in the engine. The upcoming Kicks facelift in India will get a new 1.3-liter turbocharged petrol engine, which generates 156bhp power and 254Nm torque. Apart from this, the SUV will also have a 1.5-liter petrol engine option. Once again, kicks sold in India are different from e-power kicks in Thailand. The Thailand model has a shorter length than the Indian model of kicks.
