Next year, KTM AG will skippe EICMA and Intermot 2020.

As we all know, the global epidemic involving coronavirus has struck the world hard. Mass crowds are a big no-no and thus all festivals. And motor shows around the globe are in threat and others have also been canceled too.

The EICMA 2020 expected to take place in November, while the Intermot 2020 due to take place in October. There are two of the world’s best motorbike exhibits.

About Impacts:

However, if they not canceled, KTM AG has agreed to miss the shows because there is a chance of better preparation for the Austrian bike manufacturers. EICMA held in Italy while Intermot so hosted in France and COVID-19 impacts all of these countries badly.

There’s a strong risk these two motorcycle events will cancel or delay. BMW Motorrad had now agreed not to take part in these events and KTM and Husqvarna are already opting out.

We have seen cancelations of the Tokyo Motorcycle Show, the Paris Motor Show, the Geneva Motor Show, the New York Auto Show, and the Beijing Motor Show so far.

BMW Motorrad recently revealed it’ll miss the EICMA and INTERMOT motorcycle shows this year. Due to the unpredictable times created by the worldwide dissemination of the Coronavirus virus the Bavarian producer made this decision. KTM has revealed in recent reports that this will not be a part of the two big motorcycle shows.

In a press release, KTM claimed that due to the confusion surrounding public meeting constraints in most countries, careful preparation for these activities is currently at risk.

The organization noted that hundreds of thousands of people gathered in confined spaces are watching this indoor display. In withdrawing itself from these activities, KTM AG seeks to lead to a secure and stable transition to daily operation.

Also in Europe, the Austrian company briefly halted the production of KTM, Husqvarna and GasGas motorcycles.
