The Peaky Blinders season 5 finale presented fans with a series: for after, one of Tommy Shelby’s (Cillian Murphy) closely plotted plans didn’t go as he expected.
He had arranged to have his political rival Oswald Mosley, the leader of the British Union of Fascists (a real-life person, incidentally ), bumped off during one of his Nazi-esque agendas by his mad sniper buddy Barney.
In the finale’s cliffhanger ending, Tommy’s plan failed miserably as Barney and another Shelby ally a masked individual killed Aberama Gold.
The filming for Peaky Blinders’ season had started in November 2019 but was halted at present. We can expect the show to air in late 2021, though it hasn’t been verified.
Director Anthony Byrne clarified: “Sets were constructed, costumes were made. Cameras and lenses tested. Locations were reserved. Of the prep was done. It is a real shame to not have the ability to make it for you at this time.”
Tommy Shelby will be played by Cillian Murphy, Polly Gray will be played with Helen McCrory, Arthur Shelby will probably be played by Paul Anderson, Ada Shelby by Sophie Rundle, Finn Shelby by Harry Kirton, Lizzie Shelby by Natasha O’Keeffe, Linda Shelby by Kate Phillips.
