Porsche’s Tri-Wing S-91x Pegasus Starfighter: Designed For StarWars Series

Porsche AG, is a German automobile manufacturer specializing in high-performance sports cars, SUVs and sedans.

Porsche AG headquarters is in Stuttgart, and is owned by Volkswagen Group, with the majority of stakes owned by Porsche Automobil Holding SE.

Now coming to the news for which Porsche has gained so much glam light, Porsche has done something very much astonishing, and has done something where no automaker has gone before.

Now coming to the latest spaceship which was build by Porsche for the star war series i.e. “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.”

Porsche designers engaged in a collaboration along with their counterparts from Lucasfilm to design a ship for the movie, and the spaceship was the Tri-Wing S-91x Pegasus Starfighter.

Porsche Stylist Vice President Michael Mauer says the tapered shape of the Starfighter’s cabin references the 911 and the Taycan.

Porsche Starfighter’s design of front styling and  the front air intakes and headlights are similar like the designing of Taycan.

At a glance, the spaceship may not seem anything related to design and performance as compared to that of Porsche, but a closer look reveals some subtle design cues from Porsche.

Some of the similar features includes the headlight design from the Taycan as well as the four point DRLs of modern Porsches, according to company officials statement given in an interview.

Porsche points out that the Starfighter has a low seating position, just like it’s 918 Spyder model designed by Porsche AG engineers and craftsman.

As per the leaked images, we can point out that the cockpit is  1+2 seating position, although it can be noted that the additional space behind for an R2-style droid technically makes this a 1+2+1-seater.

For those attending the movie’s premiere can check out the three-dimensional, 5-foot-long model.

For rest of the specifications we have to wait until the release of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker,” which will be released by Dec. 20, to see Tri-Wing S-91x Pegasus Starfighter on the big screen, and find out the technological advancement and innovations used by Porsche in the space-shift.

From the latest sources, we also got to know that other than the spaceship’s physical debut, Porsche will also be showcasing the Taycan EV at the movie’s premiere event.
