Tata Motors ‘most recent monthly study indicates that the production of the Tata Hexa has been halted. The explanation for the change is not the nationwide lockout declared on March 22.
Tata Motors fabricated not a single unit of the Hexa last month. The selling (wholesale) count was 0 units, too. So, the company will only restart the development of the Hexa after its update to the BS6 is ready. The other old models that expected to continue to sold after the kick-in of the BS6 emission requirements on April 1. So, this upgraded before the deadline, aside from the Hexa. From day one, the Altroz released recently was compatible with BS6.
So, Varicor 320 and Varicor 400. Both of these engines should retrofit to BS6.
The 2.2L Varicor 320 engine produced 150 PS at 4,000 rpm and a torque of 320 Nm at 1,500-3,000 rpm. So, it only available with a manual 5-speed transmission. The 2.2L Varicor 400 engine produced 156 PS with a torque of 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm at 1,750-2,500 rpm.
Available with a manual six-speed transmission. And with automatic six-speed transmission. So, buyers going for the former could opt-in their crossover for a 4×4 device.
In the coming months, Tata Motors plans to introduce a BS6 Hexa Safari, too. So, the organization had demonstrated the same at Auto Expo 2020 in February in prototype form. The prototype version fitted. With the Varicor 400 engine, a manual six-speed transmission and a 4×4 setup.
A special green body paint, gloss black radiator grille base, mirrors, door handles and tailgate garnish, roof rails. And so extra black body cladding uses on the Tata Hexa Safari model. The unique styling made adventure vehicles more relatable.
The new sunroofed Tata Nexon now available in cheaper grades called ‘XZ+ (S)’ and ‘XZA+ (S).’ For these latest classes, the price of the current model starts at INR 10.10 lakh * and INR 10.70 lakh * respectively.
