Specifications of Bajaj Pulsar RS200, NS200 BS6 leaked before launch

The latest documents about the Bajaj motor cycles continue to leak. As a result, they reveal the details about Pulsar RS200 and NS200 BS6. Both motorcycles share the 199.5 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor with fuel injection system. Until now, Pulsar NS200 has been using a carburettor-equipped engine.

The BS6 single-cylinder engine is to produce 24.1 bhp of peak power at 9750 rpm. The power output is same as the fuel-injected BS4 engine on the Pulsar RS200. Although, it is 1 bhp higher than the carburettor-equipped Pulsar NS200 BS4.

The changes limit to mechanical upgrades to comply with the BS6 norms. Other features like design and dimensions remain identical to the BS4 units. That means the full-fairing design, twin-pod projector headlights, LED blinkers and a LED tail-light continue to feature in the new models of RS200. The NS200 models also retain the halogen headlight, LED tail-light and conventional blinkers.

Both motorcycles comprise telescopic front-forks, rear mono-shock and disc brakes on both wheels. The BS4 models had single-channel ABS. The BS6 RS200 will come with dual-channel ABS. The Pulsar NS200 may also get the same upgrade.

The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 will be available at Rs 1,43,717 while the Pulsar NS200 at Rs 1,24,006.
