As they’re constantly reimagined for viewers, characters in crime and detective genres have gone on to experience notoriety. Details such as Sherlock Holmes, Hercule Poirot, Robert Langdon, and much more have been adapted from their first books on the screen, and also on the radio, on the large screen. And of course, they are usually portrayed by many celebrities. But one personality that never received as much fame because these heavyweights of literature have been Spenser, the character who headlines over 40 Robert B. Parker mystery books.
The character of Spenser has strong ties to the Boston region, as Parker did while he was living, who was a native of Springfield. And while Spenser has come to life thanks to a tv series, filmed in Boston, and three tv movies (depicted by Robert Urich and Joe Mantegna( respectively), he has never received the significant remedy his contemporaries have. .until now!
A brand new Netflix movie, Spenser Confidential, was on our watchlist ever since Netflix announced it would be arriving into the service. The movie was filmed throughout the end of 2018 in other cities, along with Boston Dorchester and it stars one of Massachusetts’ top celebrities, Mark Wahlberg. The film will visit Wahlberg portray Spenser as a retired police officer that ends up in the world of MMA and, you guessed it, on the trail of a murder. You can not get out of Boston that Wahlberg.
The big news change for Spenser Confidential came on Monday when Wahlberg appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to unveil that the trailer to the film. The trailer was made available via the official Netflix Film YouTube station and it may be looked at below.
What do you believe? It is always cool to see Boston in a film. Our house does result in a cinematic location like Netflix is doing it justice, and it seems.
