The all-new Triumph Tiger 900 which will arrive in India in April

In April, the 2020 Triumph Tiger 900 is set to launch in India. The all-new ADV was first revealed last year in December and had us hooked.

Triumph took his sweet time to work on the updated Tiger 900 that’s clearly visible in every aspect of the new motorcycle. The new Tiger looks more aggressive and threatening than the outgoing model thanks to the fresh LED headlamps which are accompanied by an LED eyebrow (a DRL). The rest of the bodywork was also revised to give the bike a narrower, slimmer, and leaner appearance.

2020 Triumph Tiger 900 Requirements for Engines

The changes in the 2020 Tiger 900 are not just about the aesthetics. Triumph ensured the updated Tiger not only looks better but also rides better.

It tinkered around with the powerplant that’s why it gave it a displacement boost from 799 cc to 888 cc. It produces the same amount of power as before (95 PS) but more torque generates 8 Nm.

And all that 87 Nm kicks in at 7250 rpm early rather than 8050 rpm. The engine, now up to BS-VI, retains a 3-cylinder configuration but now has a revised 1-3-2 firing order instead of 1-2-3. Triumph has also added a new triple T-plane crankshaft and other lightweight parts. Components to decrease the engine weight by a considerable 2.5 kg.

• Up to 6 riding modes-Road, Rain, Sport, Off-Road, Rider and Off-Road Pro.

2020 Triumph Tiger 900 Supply and demand:

Naturally, all of the aforementioned features depend on variants. Speaking about the models, there are five versions of the all-new Tiger 900–Tiger 900 (Base), Tiger 900 GT, Tiger 900 GT Plus, Tiger 900 Rally, and Tiger Pro. So, only the versions of the 900 GT and 900 Rally should be made available in India. As regards price, this could be placed within the range of INR 13-16 lakh (ex-showroom).
