The Batman Trailer And Everything You Should To Know

A new fan-made trailer exemplifies precisely what Zack Snyder and Ben Affleck’s The Batman would look like. Starring as the DC Extended Universe’s older and hardened Dark Knight in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League, Affleck was likely to direct and star in his own standalone job. However, he decided to exit the superhero franchise following Snyder leaving it as well.

Rumors of Affleck discovering a way out of the DCEU started soon after his first outing as Batman at Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. This was in the movie, which surprised a lot of people contemplating the backlash his casting got. The tumultuous production for Justice League did not help his case, further penalizing his exit. With him gone, his projected Batman movie was retooled with new director Matt Reeves and will finally have Robert Pattison as the famed Caped Crusader. A few are still imagining what Affleck’s Royal Batman might have seemed like, notably if Snyder led it, while enthusiasm for the project is bubbling.

YouTube content creator Stryder HD has come up with a concept trailer for a Snyder/Affleck The Batman stand-alone film. The movie utilizes clips from a series of videos, including Batman v Superman: Morning of Justice and Justice League, highlighting its dark and gritty vibe. It certainly fits in with Snyder’s vision for each of these films. Check out the preview below:

Together with Henry Cavill’s Superman restarting contract discussions with Warner Bros. to reprise Superman, coupled with the announcement of Snyder’s Cut of Justice League coming to HBO Max, it is no wonder some are raising questions about Affleck potentially returning to the DCEU. At this point, the chances of this happening are slim to none. His life affected, and it’s totally fair for him to reevaluate his well-being. It’s a shame fans will not see more of his Batman.

Pattinson’s version of Bruce Wayne at The Batman may be excellent. Still, it was refreshing to find another take on the DC personality in Affleck – one who was after his superhero gig, even more, disillusioned and doubtful. It made a dynamic between him and the remainder of the Justice League. If anything, fans can look forward to Affleck and Snyder’s final collaboration in the DC franchise when the forthcoming Justice League job hits HBO Max next year.
