The Blacklist is an American crime thriller drama television series that premiered on NBC in 2013. The series revolves around a former U.S. Navy officer turned high profile criminal who turns himself in to the FBI after eluding capture for decades. He is willing to inform on their operations in exchange for immunity from prosecution and tells the FBI he has a list of their most dangerous criminals in the world he has accumulated over time. The series has had accolades with direct actor James Spader and an unbeaten run for more than seven seasons with every season acclaim. All of this has prompted NBC to renew the show for an eighth season.
