It has almost been a year because the fans watched this dystopian play. And now everybody is eagerly waiting for The Handmaid’s Tale Season 4. Although, it appears that the fans need to wait a whole lot more for its fourth year due to this global pandemic scenario. Each of the previous seasons of the show received a fantastic response from the viewers as well as the critics. And that’s why the fans have high hopes from the fourth season.
It’s the movie of dystopian novel series of the same title by Margaret Atwood in 1985. The inaugural season of the show itself managed to bag eight Emmy awards. In July 2019, the founders renewed the series for its fourth installment which was scheduled to air later this season.
The next season of The Handmaid’s Tale finished on a massive cliffhanger. The fans also have some hint of what they will have in the coming year. Serena was captured and lead to the prison in the former season. The fourth season will unveil her fate and show the fans what happens to her after taken as captive. The Handmaid’s Tale Season 4 will pick shortly after June successfully traffics over 50 kids into Canada. She got shot in the shoulder when shielding them. The season ended without unveiling whether she is alive or dead. The fourth season will reveal the destiny of her too.
At a recent interview, the showrunner, Miller told the fans about the narrative of the show. He said, “My arch is still very much the arc of the book. People today talk about how we are before this publication, but we’re not really. The book starts, then skips 200 years with an academic dialogue at the end of it. We are not going past the novel; we’re just reaching territory she covered quickly, a little more gradually.”
Back in September 2019, Margaret Atwood released the sequel of her first novel. So now, the writers have more supply material for producing the plotline for the fourth season. The publication is set 15 years after the events of this first installment. It revolves around three characters, namely Aunt Lydia, Agatha, and Daisy.
The founders’ original plans were to end the production by the first week of August and launch the series in the next quarter. But, it doesn’t seem possible at present because of the outbreak. If the creators get the permission to resume the creation in the upcoming weeks, the lovers could anticipate The Handmaid’s Tale Season 4 to premiere by the end of the season.
