The Handmaid’s Tale is a dystopian tragedy ordered by the streaming platform Hulu and also the very first season premiered on April 26, 2017. The series drew wide acclaim and therefore, was revived for a second and a third season. The series is set to come back with its fourth season.
The show is based on the Canadian author, Margaret Atwood’s’The Handmaid’s Tale’. In 2019, Atwood released a sequel to her book’s Testaments’ that is going to be further developed from the series. Bruce Miller produces the series.
The essential photography was meant to begin on March 2, together with the season that might have been on our screens before the finish of 2020.
Whatever the circumstance, the constant Corona pandemic has prompted enormous shutdowns, as well as the creations, have stopped.
It would be a time until we get the opportunity to see. It would not be possible before 2021.
The book is quite complicated but exquisitely written. The show has taken its inspiration in the novel, and it sees a mysterious world Gilead, after a second American Civil War, using a totalitarian society. The society after seeing a decrease in fertility rates because of pollution and sexually transmitted diseases subjugates fertile women into child-bearing captivity possessed by the higher groups. These women are called the handmaids’.
These girls should submit through ritualized called’ the service’. They’d then bare the child for their commanders’. After giving birth, they would then be shifted to another commander.
The primary cast of Handmaid’s Tale includes Elizabeth Moss, Joseph Fiennes, Alexis Bledel, Yvonne Strahovski, Madeline Brewer, Ann Dowd, Max Minghella, Samira Wiley, Amanda Brugel and Bradley Whitford.
The creation for season 2 was to start in March 2020 with Elizabeth Moss making her directorial debut in the show. But, on account of the corona pandemic, the production was shut down. In an Instagram post, Moss wrote,’To preserve the health and security of our cast and crew and join the world in an attempt to sew into the curve. This show is my entire life, and this cast and crew is my family. There’s nothing more important than ensuring they and everyone around them are’ safe’.
Another definite reason as to why the show is taking such long gaps between seasons is that the broadness and durability of this season. Moss commented to Digital Spy,”’Part of the reason it’s taken a little bit longer, besides only timing, is that we’re making it somewhat of a larger season this past year. We are extending the limits of our capacities, production-wise, and we’re on the move a lot’.
