The New BS6 Suzuki Gixxer 250 Brochure Leaked Ahead of its India Launch

Suzuki Motorcycle India is gearing up to launch the BS6 iteration of Gixxer 250. This is after the successful launching of the BS6 variants of Gixxer and Gixxer SF. The motorcycle is launching soon in India. The brochure leaked the key specifications about the bike. According to it, the new Suzuki Gixxer 250 BS6 will draw the same amount of power as that of its predecessor. However, there were slight tweaks in the engine. Thus the engine now develops more torque than the previous model.

Body Specifications

The overall dimensions of the BS6 Gixxer 250 remain untouched. The length is still 2010 mm with width and height being 805 mm and 1035 respectively. The height of the seat will be 800 mm while the kerb weight will be around 156 kg. The wheel-base measures 1340 mm and the ground clearance is around 65 mm.

The same 249 cc, single cylinder, oil-cooled engine from the BS4 unit powers the new Gixxer 250. It will produce 26 bhp which makes 9300 rpm instead of at 9000 rpm. The 6-speed gearbox will be straight-away lifted from the BS4 model.

The original Gixxer 250 was launched in August 2019, it still is a fresh model. So the new BS6 model does not expect to have any cosmetic makeovers. But, it comes with a full-LED headlight, 41 mm telescopic forks and fully digital instrument panel.
