After four back to back lockdowns, the Government finally take major steps to open the economy. This activity is known as “unlock 1” and the government has a new set of regulations. This means a lot of us now will be able to travel for work or other activities.
But before we do that there are few things that we need to check in case we plan on taking our motorcycle or scooter. It’s very important to do this because our vehicles have been parked in the open for two months. Something our bike or scooter has never experienced before.
This battery is most likely to depletes as the two-wheeler has not been used for a while. Check whether the backlight of the instrument cluster lights up when you turn on the ignition switch. If the backlight is not on then the battery is depleted. For this call a mechanic and get the battery changed.
If the motorcycle or the scooter hasn’t been used during the lockdown, then it is possible that the tyre to be deflated. So to get out of this situation there are two options. First, buy yourself an air compressor or second push the bike to the nearest petrol pump, garage, etc.
Check if the wires on the motorcycle are in good condition. Because there are chances that the rats or rodents might have a nibble on some. So it is important to check all the wires. If found any chewed up wire simply call the mechanic and ask him to fix it.
You may not remember the last time you fuelled up your scooter or bike. So it is better to check before you take it for a ride. We will advise you to go to the nearest petrol pump and fill the tank anyway.
