But it turns out for our European audience might take an interest in our impressions too. As they will be able to buy a Highlander soon. The Japnese manufacturer just reveals the seven-seat model for the old Continent. Here it will go on sale at the beginning of the next year.
So, the three-row Highlander joins the already wide range of Toyota high-riding models for Europe. It includes the C-HR, RAV4, and recently introduced Yaris Cross. The Toyota model rides on the company’s GA-K platform and also looks virtually identical to the version for the North American market.
Toyota lists some of the dimensions of Highlander which are the same as the US numbers. The SUV includes a 658-liter boot, which can expand up to 1,909 with the second row of seats folded.
Customers on the other hand with a big pond will offer exclusively with a hybrid-powered Highlander.
However, it has a 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle gasoline engine. Engine supported by front and rear electric motors and a nickel-metal hybrid battery. The peak out rated at 244 horsepower with CO2 emission 146 g/kg. Highlander average fuel consumption is 6,61/100 km, measured by the WLTP cycle. So according to Toyota, this number represents the best power to CO2 balance in the segment.
