In Japan, Toyota has introduced a new limited-edition model based on the subcompact Passo sedan. This is a rebadged Daihatsu Boon.
The special edition called the Passo Moda Charm. It based on the Moda trim standard and tailored to cater to women buyers. The Toyota Passo Moda Charm, which will be available in Japan from April 7, offers packaging and luxury updates. So, the most noticeable being the Juicy Pink Metallic color.
There are a total of five available exterior colors. Along with an optional matching roof. The pink one reminds us of the Daihatsu Boon Style. Another JDM special that the Passo Moda Charm appears to have served as inspiration.
Within, the Passo Moda Charm adopts imitation leather and mesh covers for the seats with metallic accents. While the driver’s seat comes with a fan, too. The car also offers a Navi Ready kit with a panoramic view camera. And a special UV cut kit comprising of green glass for the windshield and front windows and rear windows with privacy glass.
Like all other Toyota Passo models, the special edition version is powered by a 1.0-liter natural-aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine. So, that produces a torque of 69 PS (68 HP) and 92 Nm (68 lb-ft). The power plant mated to a CVT that drives the front wheels. There is an optional AWD model available.
Prices start at 1,617,000 yen ($14,850) for the FWD version of the Toyota Passo Moda Charm and 1,793,000 yen ($16,460) for the AWD edition.
The car also offers a Navi Ready kit with a panoramic view display and a special UV cut kit comprising of green glass for the windshield and front seats, as well as rear window privacy glass.
