Toyota has been a hybrid fan since Prius was its cover model. Announcing two more additions to the same segments, Toyota unveiled two more vehicles on 18 May. With electric motors assistance, fuel efficiency has been improved. Toyota Sienna and Venza are hybrid only.
Both vehicles are powered with the same four-cylinder 2.5-liter engines. Toyota’s executive vice president of sales, Bob Carter, said the decision to go hybrid-only was made in part because of consumers’ reactions in going from the standard RAV4 to the RAV4 to the RAV 4 hybrid.
The Hybrid customers responded in positive to the hybrid powertrain. Before Sienna or Venza, Prius was the only hybrid on the company’s list. These additions have given a stronger grip in the electric segment. These wheels are powerful, plus they are minivans literally and they are quick because of the electric motors.
Venza-
The 2021 Venza shares the same platform as RAV 4(Recreational Active Vehicle with 4WD). The 2.5-liter engine is accompanied by three electric motors. One on the rear wheels gives it a standard all-wheel drive. The Venza delivers a improved mileage of 40 miles per gallon.
Sienna-
Sienna gets the power from the same engine base as of Veza but with two electric motors only. The elegant exterior minivan has two electric motors on the front making it front-wheel drive while a third one on the rear for the all-wheel-drive model of the same. The fuel efficiency of around 33 miles per gallon is quite impressive for such large size minivan.
The 2021 Toyota Venza is expected to arrive in August. It should start around $35,000 and top out at around $45,000 when fully loaded. The 2021 Sienna is expected to start just over $30,000 and reach prices around $50,000 when fully loaded.
So which one of these, SIENNA and VENZA, is already your favorite one???
