Triumph launches T100 and T120 Black edition, and more

Just two days ago, Triumph motorcycles, a British brand of bikes launched two new bikes, also for the Indian markets. Triumph Bonneville T100 and T120 Black edition, were unveiled on 12 June by the company. The bikes had a price tag of Rs 8.87 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 9.98 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively.

The rumor of a 2021 Triumph Triple Speed with a 1200cc engine has risen and is being traded from blogs to blogs.

Bonneville T100 Black

Inspired by 1959 Bonneville, T100 gets a black touch which can make you drool.  The T100 has a wealth of quality finishes, including high-value brushed aluminum engine covers, classic unique bolt-on Triumph badges, new Bonneville engine plate, Triumph maker’s mark engine badge, and premium seat finish and detailing.

Powered by a high torque 900cc engine, the T100 is available to own in three stylish, contemporary color schemes; Fusion White and Aegean Blue with hand-painted coach lines, New England White, and Intense Orange with hand-painted coach line, and now Jet Black. The 40kW engine helps T100 go in just 5.2 seconds.

It is priced at Rs 8,87,400.

BONNEVILLE T120 BLACK

This 1200cc bike is the most comfortable ride one could get. From its peashooter-style silencers, engine profile, and beautiful details to its iconic silhouette, it’s every inch the modern classic you want it to be. It brings more style more attitude with the new black edition.

The T120 fits in ABS, ride by wire, traction control, torque-assist clutch, two riding modes, heated grips as standard, and liquid cooling for better fuel economy. The 1200cc engine gets liquid cooling for better efficiency. The combustion bombs inside produce 59 kW fo power and 105 Nm of torque for those steepy tips. Chromed 2 into 2 exhaust system with twin chrome silencers shines and reflects glory in the eyes.

The T120 Black gets a price tag of Rs 9,97,600.

2021 Triumph Triple Speed

Reserving an inline triple-cylinder layout, this Triumph motorcycle could be the newest addition to the company’s lineup for 2021. This going to be a naked sports bike will be a replacement for Triumph Speed Triple 1050 that has reached the end of its engineering development cycle.

The latest Triumph Speed Triple variant produces 150 PS and 117 Nm of torque. But as the naked sports bike ground getting crowd with competition like KTM’s Super Duke R, BMW S1000R, Suzuki GSX S1000, Aprilia Tuono 1100, Yamaha MT10 and Ducati Streetfighter V4. The 1.0-liter class is getting tough and Triumph aims to stand in it with a three-cylinder bike. Along with the balance between power delivery and weight of a triple giving it an advantage over a V-twin or inline-four.

Technology-wise also, the sports bike will have to be advanced and Triumph’s out looking for new changes. Ducati’s semi-active suspension in its Streetfighter V4 might panic out Triumph. But the latest addition should have connectivity to the driver’s smartphone. But what about a power bump. With Kawasaki’s Z2 H2 gushing out 200 hp, Triumph might aim at the 180 hp finishing line, at least with the upcoming 2021  Triumph Speed Triple. What’s your say??
