Among the most significant reasons for cancelation of Flip, Up Charlie could be that Idris Elba has regularly seen doing serious roles and this was the first time he ventured out to play a character for a comedy series, Idris himself stated: “This character is outside of his comfort zone.”

Idris and the personality of a Dj who’s hoping to win back his music career while he is also seen as a nanny to his buddy 11-year-old daughter play.

When he said that the series is about parenting, Idris opened more about the series in an interview. He’s taken an active role in writing the script because he said most of those stories are from his experience of becoming a father.
