Turn Up Charlie has been Netflix’s latest comedy show made by Idris Elba and Gary Reich, the series premiered on March 15, 2019, and nearly a year later Netflix has canceled the show, fans are frustrated for sure, but Netflix has made its final choice.

Among the most significant reasons for cancelation of Flip, Up Charlie could be that Idris Elba has regularly seen doing serious roles and this was the first time he ventured out to play a character for a comedy series, Idris himself stated: “This character is outside of his comfort zone.”

When he said that the series is about parenting, Idris opened more about the series in an interview. He’s taken an active role in writing the script because he said most of those stories are from his experience of becoming a father.
Idris is a very active actor, and he is mostly earmarked for so many forthcoming movies he barely gets time. Still, he had been hoping to find another season of this show from Netflix; however, in April 2020, the news broke that Netflix has axed the show because’Netflix and Idris couldn’t see eye to eye on the approaching season.’
